New Police Reserve Lotha Union in collaboration with the Forest Department, Kohima, Division organized Tree Plantation drive at the New Police Reserve Jurisdiction under the theme"Plant a Tree Today; It Will Help Us Breathe Tomorrow" on 4th June 2022.

ADGP (ADM) Renchamo P Kikon IPS, Adviser NRLE appreciated the members for organizing the tree plantation drive on the Eve of World Environment day. He also urged the community to render selfless contributions to society in the future.

About seven hundred saplings including peepal tree, silver oak, pine, cherry, and blackberry were planted with fencing led by Sr. Police Officer Renchamo P Kikon in the vicinity of the Police Union Baptist Church, Kohima.

The union proposed this project to beautify the reserve area and also to protect the environment.

The programme was chaired by NRLE chairman Mhonjan Tsopoe. The union expressed gratitude to the Forest department, Kohima Division, Lansothung Lotha, RO, Baghty & Doyang In-charge, and also all the individuals for their contribution of saplings and materials. The union also apprised the people to take care and nurture the saplings trees within their surroundings.
