Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order to all concerned that the Government will allow movements of locals who are stranded in any parts of Tuensang district and in distress and desire to return to their home districts or villages. The following actions are therefore initiated to ensure seamless movement:

1.  A dedicated Facilitation Cell is open in the office of the DC, Tuensang from 5th May 2020 onwards to issue travel permit and started receiving application of stranded local/indigenous people with following officers as members : SDO (C) Sadar, Shelley Katiry as nodal officer (9862089699), EAC HQ, Puhan Khiamniungan and SS NST S. Meju as members (8787500034, 7005310509).

2. Free NST bus services will be provided for transportation of such persons: Booking of NST bus tickets /private bus to be undertaken by this Cell. The following details must be submitted to the cell to any of the contact details provided above - name /gender /age/designation /present location /home district /contact no.

3. All Executive Magistrates through the ward or village authority may compile the list from respective jurisdiction and submit to the facilitation centre. 

4. Stranded local /indigenous people wanting to travel in their own private vehicle to be allow after the DC allows necessary permit specifying travel dates.

5. This movement regime is permitted for local /indigenous people only and having permanent address in Nagaland.

6. Special care should be taken to ensure that social distancing and other protocols are to be maintained at all times. 

7. The transportation of such stranded persons will be facilitated only during the permissible window period of 3 days from 7 to 9 May, 2020.
