The second edition of the All Nagaland Open Folk Song & Folk Fusion competition was held at Khuzama village playground, Kohima on 16th December 2023. The programme was organized by Kekhrie Krotho in collaboration with the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) on the theme “String of the past, melody of the future”

Gracing the occasion as special guest, MLA, Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso lauded the effort of TaFMA by increasing the number of people making a living through music under the leadership of Project Director, Dr. Hovithal Sothu.

In his welcome address, Chief Event Manager, Nunese Sale said that the main motive of organizing the event was to promote the rich culture and heritage of the Nagas and provide a platform to the local talents and also to the entrepreneurs.

Tsaroho group bagged the first position in the Group Folk Song while Poimi Students Union Kohima came in second. In Solo Folk Fusion, Sabino Hibo won the first prize, Alo Ena the second prize and Khrielhoubei Kaimo the third prize. In the Folk Song category, Atenle Seb bagged first position while Menuolhounuo bagged the second position. The judges for the competition were Alune Tetseo from Tetseo Sisters, Neikuo Khezhie and Kehodi Yoho from Colored Keys.

Earlier, the Khuzama Experience "Walking the Ancient Path' monolith was unveiled by Project Director TaFMA, Dr. Hovithal Sothu in presence of Chairman, Village Council Khuzama. They also visited Pucho Hibo Museum maintained by the Hibo clan of Khuzama and Thukhre Zheru (Stone) guardian of wild animal preserved by the Khuzama Villagers.
