Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) Short Term Training scheme (STT) certification programme for weavers was held on 21st August 2024 at North Eastern Handloom & Handicraft Development Co-corporation (NEHHDC) centre at Blue Hill colony, Wokha.

Functional Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Wokha, Mhabemo Lotha addressing the trainees during the programme, encouraged them to apply the skill learned for a productive purpose as weaving plays a vital role in terms of providing employment opportunities to many people.

Short speeches were also delivered by Skill Development Officer and Project Manager, Wokha Anuranjan Singh and Executive, NEHHDC Bidyut Sharma. The highlights of the PMKVY, STT scheme was presented by Chonchio M. Ezung.

The three (3) months training was attended by 57 trainees out of whom 32 trainees were awarded the certificates of completion, which was handed over by the Functional Manager, DIC Wokha. Charity Club Multipurpose Society imparted the training course under the guidance of the nodal agency NEHHDC, Guwahati.
