Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Vineet Kumar, IAS informed that, a plantation campaign will be conducted on 31st August 2024 at New Deputy Commissioner Office, Wokha from 7:00AM.

This campaign is conducted in support of the initiative launched by Prime Minister- “Plant for Mother” or “EK Ped Ma Ke Nam” to contribute towards environmental sustainability. The campaign aims to ensure plantation by September 2024 across India and 140 crore trees by March 2025.

In this regard, the following departments are requested to participate in the campaign, District Forest Office (DFO), District Welfare Office (DWO), AE, CAWD and all DC Office staff.
