Jharkhand to witness the grand launch of the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan on 2nd October 2024. This nationwide initiative, approved by the Union Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has a total budget outlay of Rs. 79,156 Crore, with the central government contributing Rs. 56,333 Crore and states adding Rs. 22,823 Crore.
The mission aims to improve the socio-economic status of tribal communities by focusing on saturating over 63,000 tribal-majority villages, including those in aspirational districts. This initiative will ensure comprehensive development across tribal households in these regions.
Simultaneous launch events will take place at the state, union territory (UT), and district levels. To facilitate real-time updates and reporting, a dedicated portal https://adiprasaran.tribal.gov.in/pmjanman/man.aspx has been created. Event details from across the country will be uploaded on this portal, ensuring a seamless flow of information.
