A special Shramik Train carrying 580 stranded people from Delhi reached Dimapur on 16th June 2020.

They were recieved at the railway station by APC Nagaland who is also incharge of Dimapur district COVID 19 activities,  Kikheto Sema, IAS, DC Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS,  Secretary Food and Civil Supplies, Honje Konyak, Commissioner of Police, Rothihu Tetso, CMO Dimapur Dr. Tiasunep, government officials from different departments and church leaders.

Out of 580 passengers, 211 were from Dimapur, 28 from Mon, 41 from Tuensang, 5 from Longleng, 18 from Kiphire, 53 from Phek, 24 from Zunheboto, 12 from Mokokchung, 27 from Wokha, 96 from Peren and  65 from Kohima. After medical screening at the railway station all the returnees were sent to their respective districts after providing food packs while people from Dimapur were taken to Agri expo for undergoing the required protocols. All returnees will be quarantined as per SOP at their respective districts. It may be mentioned that this will be the last special train arranged by the government of Nagaland for carrying stranded Naga people to Nagaland. 

Team Dimapur has been receiving returnees arriving by special trains arranged by the Government of Nagaland from across the state, with team spirit and today's special train which arrived Dimapur at 12:20 noon was the 7th special train and would also probably be the last special train.
