In what is being seen as a charitable inventiveness of the citizens of the capital city where numerous potted plants are being donated and placed alongside the streets by various individuals and organizations, the Kohima Municipal Council has thanked everyone for their generous contributions.

Informally tagged as The Green Line Experiment, this is a citizen's movement of a very noble kind and the endeavour is to line the streets of our city with potted greens and plants to add a facelift to the city and also conserve our environment, stated Administrator, KMC, KoviMeyase in a release. And while more than 30 odd citizens have so far voluntarily donated more than 150 plants of their prized possessions towards the effort, the KMC has to implored for all to kindly desist from spoiling, marring, destroying or displacing any of them. We would like to instead request for all to help and shoulder in the upkeep of these plants while also appealing to one and all to continue to lend a helping hand towards extending "The Green Line" till the objective is achieved.
