The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at RSA Ground, Tseminyu with P. Paiwang Konyak, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, as special guest. The Minister hoisted the National Flag and took salute from two parade contingents composed of 4th NAP (B coy) and Ex-servicemen, Tseminyu, and delivered the Independence Day speech.

The highlights of the function include folk song by La Kethyu Logwa, presentation of District Award to Nyenlo Seb, (Soil & Water Conservation), Kaini Semp, Senior Bill Assistant (Power Department) and Tesilo Kath Sectional Asst. PWD (R&B) Department.

The special guest also inaugurated exhibition stalls setup by various departments.
