The Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atoizu, celebrated the 80th Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2026 with EAC, Dr Samuel Akho Konyak P, NCS as the special guest.

The Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag followed by singing of the National Song, National Anthem, took Rashtriya Salute and delivered an Independence Day speech. The programme concluded with the Beating of Retreat in the evening.

The celebration was attended by Heads of Offices, Officers-in-Charge, members of the Atoizu Town Council, government and private sector employees, public leaders and members of the general public, who gathered in large numbers to honour the occasion.
