A meeting regarding the publication of the Draft Electoral Roll under 13-Pughoboto Assembly Constituency in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026, was held with representatives of various political parties and concerned election officials at Pughoboto.

Addressing the gathering, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Pughoboto, James T Khulu Tikhir, briefed political party representatives on the publication of the Draft Electoral Roll and highlighted the important role of political parties in ensuring a smooth revision process and in facilitating the submission of claims and objections.

The SDO (Civil), Pughoboto, Yitachu Thur also addressed the representatives and briefed them on the electoral roll revision process. The present status of the electoral roll following publication of the Draft Electoral Roll was also shared with those present.

The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), 13-Pughoboto AC, further informed the meeting that the present number of electors in the Assembly Constituency after publication of the Draft Electoral Roll is available for reference. The ERO also announced that the period prescribed for filing claims and objections is from September 9 to October 20, 2026, and informed the representatives about the relevant dates for submission of claims and objections.

Political party representatives were requested to take note of the Draft Electoral Roll and actively participate in the revision process by submitting claims and objections, wherever necessary, within the prescribed period.

The meeting concluded with an appeal to all concerned political parties to extend their cooperation for the smooth and successful completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026, under the 13-Pughoboto Assembly Constituency.
