The State-level 11th Ayurveda Day on the Theme; ‘Ayurveda for a healthier tomorrow’ was observed with MP, Lok Sabha, Supongmeren Jamir, as Chief Guest on 23rd September 2026.

The programme was chaired by Deputy Director (Ayush) & CEO SMPB Nagaland, Dr. T. Bendangtula. It highlighted Ayurveda advocacy on healthy lifestyle & NCD prevention, scientific medicinal-plant cultivation and sustainable livelihood opportunities for farmers, with participation across 10 districts of Nagaland, each joining the nationwide observance at the grassroots level.

In collaboration with the State Medicinal Plants Board (SMPB), medicinal plants were distributed, along with a scientific session by a Principal Scientist from leading ayurveda medicine company, Dabur India, on the “soil-to-product” journey of medicinal plants.
