A three day cricket coaching camp for the age group of under-16 and under-19 concluded on 6th October 2020 at Zunheboto. A team of three BCCI coaches, under the aegis of the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) organized a coaching camp cum talent with an aim to reach the untouched areas and to identify and nature the budding talents across the state.

In an interaction with district IPR officials, BCCI coach Kechesin Keppen Rengma expressed optimism about the future of our state in sports, by saying that, the enthusiasm towards sports especially cricket is clearly visible and the atheletism which is naturally gifted to the Naga people can definitely lead our youngsters to be very successful in the field of sports. Indulgence in sports demands and guides us to concentrate more on fitness level of our bodies, which is the real treasure we possess and the need of the hour as well, he quoted. Kechesin also appealed to the parents of the younger generation of the state by saying that, it is high time we realize and change our mentality and be more cooperative towards the children's interest in sports. A sportsperson can prosper quite well, if not more, as well as other professions, he added.

The talent hunt camp at Zunheboto saw as many as 32 young talents, 26 boys and 6 girls, participating with utmost vigour.

The president of Zunheboto District Cricket Association (ZDCA), Toika Tissica expressed gratitude to the coaches for making themselves available and deeply thanked NCA for the initiative.
