Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources organized one day hands on training on “Value Added Fish Products” on 22nd January, 2021 at Aree Old, Aspirational Village under 39-Sanis Assembly constituency, Wokha District. The training was held for the women SHG’s under Gender Budgeting during 2019-20 with an aim to help them in entrepreneurship development.

Altogether 25 trainees enthusiastically participated in the day long training programme. Resource person Dory Yanthan, DFO Wokha with her staffs taught on preparation of fish products which are simple and easy to follow processing techniques such as fish pickle, fish finger and fish soup.

Among the trainees, Orenponi Yanthan, thanked the Department for imparting such kind of training and affirmed that they had gained enough practical knowledge and skills which they will put them into practice and serve purpose for income generation in the days to come.
