The Department of Underdeveloped Areas (DUDA) handed over College Bus for Yingli Government College at the Directorate Office of DUDA on 8th March 2021.
A short handing-taking over programme was attended by Minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along, Advisor, DUDA N. Bongkhao Konyak, along with Directors and Officials of DUDA and Higher Education Departments. While handing over the college bus, Minister Temjen Imna Along said that this gesture of DUDA will encourage the student community so also would be an added fillip in supporting the college administration. Advisor, DUDA, Bongkhao Konyak opined that DUDA is committed to ensuring that educational development in the Five backward District of Eastern Nagaland is galvanised and that the Department would ensure that tangible achievements are met with various programmes so as to address the intra-district imbalances.
The Department of Underdevelopment Areas is focused on human resource development so as to bring a transformative change in the backward areas through State anchored programmes. The college bus was procured from the Underdeveloped Areas Programme (UDAP) during 2020-21.
