The Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, District Task Force Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has informed that in continuation to the Office order of even number Dated 21st May 2021 and in compliance to the directive of the High Powered Committee on COVID-19 vide No. GAB-I/COM/GEN- 4/2020, Dated 28th May 2021 the Total Lockdown to contain and prevent the spread of COVID- 19 shall continue within Kohima District with existing Guidelines, till 11th June 2021. Any additional restrictions or imposition of Total Lockdown by any authority other than the Kohima District Task Force on Covid-19 is strictly unwarranted. If under any extra-ordinary circumstance/ situation such additional restriction is necessitated, the same may be conveyed to the Kohima District Task Force on Covid-19 for necessary approval.

Any personal group of persons acting in violation of this order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
