The launch event of the 'Nagaland SDG Vision 2030' and 'District SDG Localisation and Integration Manual' will be held on 17th August 2021 in Kohima. The 'Nagaland SDG Vision 2030' will be launched by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and the 'District SDG Localisation and Integration Manual' will be launched by Minister of Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu.
The Government of Nagaland has been working towards localising and integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the Global Goals since 2018. The launch of these two documents will play a crucial role to further the process of SDG localisation across the state.
The launch of the 'Nagaland SDG Vision 2030' and 'District SDG Localisation and Integration Manual' will be followed by the 'State-level Workshop on SDG India Index 2020-21 and Multidimensional Poverty Index' (MPI) with resource persons from officials of NITI Aayog. The key objectives of this workshop will include discussion on Nagaland's SDG performance as per the SDG India Index 2020-21 as well as areas of improvement. There will also be discussions on the programmes, schemes and policies addressing the concept of multi-dimensional poverty in the state.
