Advisor, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economics & Statistics and DPDB Chairman, Noklak, L. Khumo inaugurated the traffic islands & flower bed at main junction, Noklak Town on 13th November 2021.
In his inaugural speech, Khumo stated that, since Noklak has been given the tag “Frontier District”, he challenged the people of the district to work tirelessly for good cause and learn to do good things and upkeep cleanliness. Development cannot happen in one go but one after another developmental process will continue, provided if, we work hard and cooperate with the government, success stories and achievements of the district will be seen, he added.
The Advisor requested the people of the district to give full co-operation to the district administration and other government authorities in order to progress in every sphere. He urged the ward Chairmen of Noklak town and GBs to maintain a good atmosphere and cleanliness in their respective sectors. He also thanked the District Administration, DPDB and all the stakeholders for coming Town beautification and the Traffic Islands at Noklak Town.
Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Hiazu Meru said it is the first event which has taken place after adopting Noklak Town as DPDB Town and more will take place in the near future. Meru challenged upon the citizens of Noklak Town to make Noklak as the cleanest Town in the state and take care of public property.
Introductory remark was given by C. Phuniang SDO (Civil) & Administrator, Noklak Town Council while the programme was chaired by District Planning Officer, Noklak, Imsumeren Jamir. Special song was presented by Shangchiu. The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Pastor Penglang, Longdon Town Baptist Church, Noklak.
