Wokha District Skill Committee meeting was held on 20th January 2022 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha at DC’s Conference Hall, Wokha to discuss the skill development plan and to evaluate the skill gaps and to deliberate upon the road map for meeting the skill requirements of the district.

Moaakum; General Manager, DIC, Nchumbemo Patton; District Agriculture Officer, R. Santsu Kithan; Team Metamorphosis, Chairperson, Charity Club Multipurpose Society, Mhalo Ezung; President, Wokha District Village Council Chairman Association, K. Vandan Erui; ADPM, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission, Samuel Kitha; DPA, NECTAR, Chumben; EAC Wokha, Yentinonglau; President, Wokha District Entrepreneurship Association; representatives from ATMA, Fishery Department, Horticulture, Renchen Women Welfare Society and other members were present during the meeting.
A detailed presentation regarding District Skill Committee was given by Anuranjan Singh, Fellow from Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India in the meeting. DC directed each department to immediately submit a report on the ongoing activities. He emphasized the need to capacitate more people with the skill of varied trades and directed for giving wide publicity to the program. He also asked the concerned departments to formulate their plans for District Skill Development Plans (DSDP) for the next two years.
