District Planning and Development Board Noklak meeting for June was held at DC's Conference Hall Noklak on 06th June 2022 under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman DPDB & DC Noklak Hiazu Meru.

During the meeting, the house approved LADP for the year 2022 -23 for 56th Noklak AC and 57th Thonoknyu AC. The house also approved to recommend New Pangsha Village as Tourism Village.

Besides, other issues of the District the house took a detailed review on the poor performance in the HSLC 2022 result. The house minutely deliberated on the causes of poor results where it was found that apart from many, an acute shortage of teachers is also one of the factors for poor results, and to this, DC requested the members to help in volunteering to teach especially in Maths and science.

The house also fixed the DPDB meeting on the 8th of every month. The house also welcomed new member of DPDB Noklak CDPO Noklak, Meyangangla Pongener.

During the meeting, Benrilo Shitiri, Field Team Leader, Elderline, Nagaland, Kohima presented power point presentation on National Helpline for Senior Citizens. Benrilo highlighted that the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) Government of India, The National Institute of Social Defense (NISD), and the respective state Government through the Department of Social Welfare are launching the National Helpline for Senior Citizens – Elder Line- Toll-Free No. 14567, to expeditiously attend to the complaints and grievances of the senior citizens. She informed that its vision is to facilitate happy and healthy aging of the senior citizens of India with honor and compassion.
