In compliance to the directive issued by the Home Department, NSDMA, Government of Nagaland Dated 09/07/2021 and in continuation to earlier order of even number dated 30/06/2021 issued by DC's Office Kohima, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has informed that 'Odd-Even' system for movement of private vehicles is implemented under Kohima Municipal Area as per Section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988, on all days except Sundays, as mentioned hereunder:

1.         Odd numbered vehicles:-

On Mondays, Wednesdays Fridays, only vehicles with registration  number ending with Odd numbers (Eg. 1.3.5.7.9) shall be allowed to ply.

2.         Even Numbered Vehicles:-

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, only vehicles with registration number ending with even numbers (Eg. 2,4,6,8,0) shall be allowed to ply.

Violation of the Order will be liable to be penalised under Section 177 & 179 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988. The order shall be implemented with immediate effect and shall remain enforced till 17th July 2021 for the strict compliance of all concerned.
