Joining the rest of the Nation, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima held a dedication programme of the PSA Oxygen Plant on 7th October 2021 under PM cares, 1000 LPM PSA oxygen plants. Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire dedicating the PSA oxygen plant expressed his gratitude to the Government of India and the Department for successfully installing the State’s biggest Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plant at NHAK. He said that the PSA oxygen generating plant was an important milestone. He further said that with the PSA Oxygen plant, the State would be able to save many more lives who are desperately in need of oxygen. Adding that Oxygen Plant was not only for the people of Kohima but for the people of all the districts as a whole, he urged every individual to take the responsibility with positivity to follow all the precautionary measures to prevent from the Corona virus. Dr.Sentimeren Aonok also acknowledged the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister for the installation of the PSA within a short span of time. He also informed that the PSA has four cylinders of which the two big cylinders are used as reservoirs which were based on the well-known PSA technology (Pressure Swing Adsorption), two pressurized vessels with zeolite ensure continuous production for separation of oxygen from other gases.
