Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of March was held on 8th March, 2021 at DC's Conference Hall, District Hq. Peren under the chairmanship of Advisor, Water Resources and DPDB Chairman, Namri Nchang.
Establishment of Public Park at Peren, Posting of HM/AHM at GHS Tening, Construction of Hostel facility at GHS, Nsong, water supply to Peren Town & New Site Peren, were the main agenda discussed during the meeting. In regard to establishment of Public Park at Peren, SDO (C), Vejoyo Swuro apprised the board members that a site near Peren Govt. College has been earmarked and after which an open discussion was held. The board after a deliberation approved the proposed site and decided to put forward to the higher ups for further necessary actions.
On posting of HM/AHM at GHS Tening, ADC Tening, Rhosietho Nguori asserted that the post of HM/AHM has been lying vacant for so long and as exam is approaching, there is an immediate need for the said post. The ADEO Peren also apprised the board members that the matter has already been informed to the higher authority but till now no immediate action has been taken up. In this connection, the Advisor requested the HoD of the department incharge to endorse a copy of the proposal to him.
Agenda regarding upgradation of Govt. High School at Ahthibung and upcoming Dr. T. Ao Football Tournament was deferred to be discuss in the next meeting. Further, Advisor Water Resources, Namri Nchang requested the Kuki Inpi President to first pursue and have a proper discussion with the DEO in regard to upgradation of Govt. High School at Ahthibung.
In the meeting, District Economics and Statistical Officer, Vikeyielienuo Chielie gave a brief presentation of their departmental activities.
The Chairman urged the District Officials to work collectively for the welfare of the District and the public and also requested them to carry out their official work with utmost sincerity.
