The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on 6th October 2021 at DC's Conference Hall, Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren-cum-DPDB Vice-chairman, SentiwapangAier, NCS.
In the meeting, the following agendas were deliberated: Constitution of SDG Cell; Five Year Action Plan for Tening Aspirational Block; Public Parks (DPR) Committee; Naming of Roads in honour of Captain Kengurüse; and Construction of Multi-purpose Building at GHSS Jalukie.
The house also approved the registration of Lungziu Development Organisation during the meeting and also had decided to forward the proposal to the Government for further course of action.
SDO, PWD (R&B), Peren sub-division-cum-Convener for 7th Inter-Departmental Badminton Tournament, Er. Asembe Mbungcha informed the house that the tournament has been scheduled to be held from 5th-6th November, 2021. He also said further requirements and formalities will be made known later.
Meanwhile, State Director in-charge NYKS, John Makhoba while highlighting on action plan of Clean India Programme starting from 1st to 31st October, 2021 said, the programme has been planned under the aegis of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav celebration as part of 75th years of India's Independence and with a view to mobilize public to participate voluntarily in this Nationwide drive of waste collection and their disposal. He also added the key activities of the programme are collection of plastic waste, single plastic use, village beautification drives and maintenance of traditional water resources and through this initiative, ambitious target of collection and disposal of 75 lakh KG plastic waste has been planned.
DC Peren said the success of the programme of such magnitude to a large extent depends on effective participation of stake holding ministries/departments/agencies. In this regard, he asked for sincere cooperation and participation from all the concern stake holders in-order to ensure the successful implementation of clean India programme.
As entrusted by the board members in the previous meeting, an overview PowerPoint presentation on departmental activities was also presented by DPO (LRD), AlemlaAier.
