The Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of November was held at Baudi Hall, Jalukie Town on 6th November 2021 under the chairmanship of DC Peren & DPDB Vice-chairman, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS.
In the meeting, Peren District Legal Service Authority (PDLSA) Secretary, B.P. Resu apprised the board members about the Mega Camp which is schedule to be held on 13th November 2021 at Jalukie town along with various departments under Peren District during Pan India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign. He requested the Deputy Commissioner of Peren to issue a circular/notification to the various departments which includes Social Welfare Department, Health & Family Welfare Department, Labour Department, Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department and Postal Department for their participation and for providing benefits/materials etc. under the various Scheme of the concern department.
Meanwhile, Rehungyibe Nsarangbe, Class-X of Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Peren and Merari Nbung, Class-XI of Baptist Hr. Sec. School, Jalukie 'B' were felicitated for securing 1st and 2nd Position in Peren District Level Essay Competition on the topic "Relevance of Gandhiji's thoughts for building a peaceful and a prosperous Nagaland" as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Schools under Peren with 100% pass percentage, subject toppers in HSLC as well as HSSLC were also felicitated in the meeting. The prizes were handed over by the Deputy Commissioner.
Earlier, District Immunization Officer, Dr. Kiholi highlighted the detailed COVID Vaccination status and its action plan of the District. Director, Pro Rural Society, Paul Lokho highlighted the action plan to combat COVID-19 in collaboration with DTF and SDTF in the district.
State Project Manager, John Snow Inc (JSI), Egumsing Nsarangbe who also spoke during the meeting said that in-order to combat COVID-19 pandemic in the State and in the Country, sensitization and information campaign to the rural mass is required.
On requirement of man power during vaccination drive, the house has entrusted Zeliangrong Students Union, Nagaland to help out the Medical Department in block wise as and when the drive is held.
