Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Peren Town Council (PTC), K. Mhathung Tsanglao graced "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM)" culmination cum felicitation programme as the special guest at Peren Town Hall on 2nd October 2021.

The ADC emphasised on cleanliness of the town and waste segregation. Tsanglao explained the importance of 2nd October in the calendar year for The Father of the Nation, 'Mahatma Gandhi'. ADC urged the denizens of the town to make it more operational and serve its values ensure Peren to cleanest town in the state.

The sanitary workers, rag pickers and waste Entrepreneurs were gave away certificates of appreciation and token of cash awards in the event of the day. The honour of 'waste to Art' competition with prizes were the highlights of the programme. EAC Peren, Er. Seyievilie Pfukri adjudged the cleanest ward in the town. Rampauyi Ndang, Nodal officer for (AKAM) PTC chaired the programme.
