Phek Battalion of the Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 05 Sector AR and HQ IGAR (North) organized a pipe band display as part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebration at Jessami War Memorial, District Ukhrul, Manipur on 11th June 2022.

The pipe band display was part of a series of events to be organized to spread the information associated with the historical freedom movement and Atmanirbhar Bharat as well as highlight the contribution of Assam Rifles in nation-building.

This initiative was to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of Independence and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. A total of 600 attendees glorified the event by their presence.

The evolution of the pipe band was shared with the locals. The locals appreciated the novel efforts of the Assam Rifles.
