PRIZE DISTRIBUTION HELD AT HORTISCAPE KISAMA

The prize distribution for the State Level Exhibition-cum-Competition of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and spices was held on 3rd December 2022 at Hortiscape Kisama.

Director for Horticulture, Y. Bongti Konyak, in his speech, said the participants partaking in the competition had made the Department attractive and appreciated them. He called upon the participants to participate not only at the state level but also at the national level and urged the winners to become entrepreneurs to encourage and motivate other farmers and the youths of the state.

The panel of judges for the exhibition event were Joint Directors of Agriculture, S. Yongchung Phom and Khriesezolie Kire, and Deputy Director, Agriculture, Rose Mary Ezung. The other judges also included Prof. C.S. Maiti- Fruit Science, Dr. Sentirela Jamir- Vegetable Science, Dr. Graceli I Yepthomi- Spices, and Dr. Rokolhou Keditsu- Flower.

A total of 101 participants participated in the flower competition category while 293 participants took part in the fruits, vegetables, and spices category. The winners received cash prizes along with certificates.
