Minister, Health & Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom inaugurated the PSA Oxygen Plant on 29th October 2021, at District Hospital Longleng.

Phom expressed his happiness at the successful completion of the plant and added that it is a step is not just for the present but also for the years. He also encouraged that it is not only for the people of Longleng but for the people of Nagaland. The minister said that every patient should be given proper treatment and service no matter the disease or sickness.

He said that it is the motive of the Prime minister that each and every individual should be able to avail medical facilities and that the Government of India, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, based on the requirement of the state, are providing all facilities required.

Phom stated that the follow up works of the Oxygen Plant would be done by engineers & technicians. He added that the Disaster Management team have provided generators to all 6-Unit if incase of power shortage.

The Minister lauded Dr. Meren and his colleagues, staff, CMO, church leaders, and others for doing exceptionally well in terms of vaccination. He further urged the Medical department to encourage the public who are yet to be vaccinated to get it as soon as possible. He stated that the fight against Covid-19 is not over and preparation for the 3rd wave is going on. He thanked the the doctors, nurses, staffs, NGOs and civil societies who have worked hard effortlessly during the 1st and 2nd wave and urged them to even harder if the 3rd wave arrives.

ADC Longleng, D. Robin; Public Leader, Pukyong Phom and President, PPC, M. Shami Angh also spoke during the programme. Welcome address and opening remark was delivered by Medical Superintendent District Hospital Longleng, Dr. Kibangkumba while CMO Longleng, Dr. Obangjungla gave the vote of thanks.

The dedicatory praying was pronounced by Executive Secretary PBCA Longleng, Tialemba Phom.
