A rehearsal on counting of votes for Bye Election to the 14 Southern Angami I (ST) Assembly Constituency conducted on 3rd November 20202 was carried out today the 9th November 2020 in the DC's Conference Hall Kohima. 

In present of Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha along with Addl. CEO Moa Aier, General Observer, S.K Pradhan and Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Mohammed Ali Shihab A, the Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro Observers carried out the counting procedures demonstrated by the District Level Master Trainers.

DC & DEO Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A highlighted on the importance of counting procedures to be followed as per the guidelines and also called upon the counting officials to maintain decorum throughout the counting process.

Returning Officer and SDO (C) Ruopfukuotuo Noudi also appraised the officials to take serious note of the section 128 in the Representation of the People Act 1951 "maintenance of secrecy of voting" and to perform their assigned duties as per the ECI guidelines. He also highlighted on the other procedures to be carried out on the counting day.
