The 73rd Republic Day was observed across Mon District.  Reports of peaceful conclusion of the occasion were received from ADCs in Aboi, Tizit, Tobu and Naginimora, and SDO Civils of Wakching, Chen, Angjangyang, Monyakshu and Phomching. 

In the District Headquarter, the occasion was observed at Local Ground, Mon Town. The programme began with the Parade Review by SP, Mon, Imnalensa, IPS. 

The Ceremonial Flag Hoisting and Inspection of Parade was carried out by DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS. 

The Republic Day Speech, read out by the DC, was followed by March Past by the contingents which included the 6th NAP, DEF Mon, Village Guards and 6th NAP Pipe Band led by Parade Commander, Seyiechulhou, Asst. Commandant 6th NAP. 

Later, in the evening, the event concluded with prize distribution and a display of band followed by "Beating of Retreat Ceremony" by 6th NAP Pipe Band.
