REVIEW MEETING FOR THE CONDUCT OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, 2022

A review meeting for the conduct of Presidential Election, 2022 was taken by the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, V. Shashank Shekhar, IAS with the Assistant Returning Officers, Khruohituonuo Rio and Darhu Shupao, in his office chamber on 22 June, 2022. The Addl. CEO, Ruokuovituo Khezhie and Joint CEO, Awa Lorin and Deputy CEO, R. Mhathung also attended the meeting.

In accordance with the Election Commission of India’s instructions, the various preparations were reviewed, such as security arrangements, collection of ballot boxes and other election materials from New Delhi and deposit of the same after poll, various arrangements at the place of poll, strong room, COVID-19 protocols to be followed, arrangements for videography and various other administrative arrangements.

The Presidential Election will be held on Monday, the 18th of July, 2022 between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. The last date for filing nominations is 29th June, 2022. The counting of votes will take place in New Delhi on 21st July, 2022.
