RIO INAUGURATES LANGTO TEA INDUSTRY

Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the Langto Tea Industry Sangsa, Tizit in Mon on 31st August 2021. He was accompanied by Minister Agriculture & Co-operation, G. Kaito Aye; Minister of Transport Civil Aviation, Railway and Land Resources, Paiwang Konyak and MLAs, C.L. John and Yollow Konyak.

In his inaugural speech, Rio appreciated the Langto Industry owners for opening such a big industry privately for the upliftment of the tea growers. He stated that tea originated in China and is now cultivated in most of the Asian and African countries. He advised the people of Tizit to increase their farming and produce quality tea.

The Chief Minister said that Tizit has a favourable climate condition and has sufficient land and other resources. He added that the industry will uplift not only the people of Tizit, but the entire Mon District.
