RO TUENSANG INFORMS ON TUENSANG TOWN COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer Tuensang Town Council Thungchanbema Tungoe NCS through a notification stated that an election is to be held of a member to wad No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 of the Tuensang Town Council, with ward No. 3, 6, 9, 12 & 15 reserved for women.

The nomination Paper be delivered by the candidate or his proposer to Thungchanbemo Tungoe Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer Tuensang Town Council or Arhonbeni Ezung Extra Assistant Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer Tuensang Town Council at the Office Chamber of ADC & RO between 11.00 AM and 3.00 PM on any day (other than public holiday) from 3rd April 2023 (Monday) but not later than the 10th April 2023 (Monday) upto 3:00 PM.

Forms of Nomination Papers may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid. The nomination paper will be taken up for scrutiny on 12th-13th April 2023 (Wednesday & Thursday) at the Office of the ADC Hq. & RO Tuensang Town Council.

Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his proposer or his election agent (who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the Office specified in paragraph (2) above at his Office before 3.00 PM on the 24th April 2023 (Monday) before 3:00 PM.

In the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on 16th May 2023 (Tuesday) between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
