Minister for Health & Family Welfare S. Pangnyu Phom inaugurated the Primary Health Centre of Sakshi, Pongo and Namching respectively on 9th March 2021. 

            In his inaugural speech at Sakshi PHC Pangnyu appealed to the Government officers and civil societies to give special attention for upliftment of Sakshi and urged the leaders of Sakshi to work harder with dedication for the upliftment of the people. He informed that Sakshi was chosen as aspiration block by the DPDB under his leadership. 

            CMO Longleng, Dr. Obangjungla proposed the welcome address and briefed on the status of the health unit.  President EYSU, Aye Keikung, and public leader, Phulang Avennoho also spoke on the occasion. The programme was chaired by DIO Longleng, Dr. S. Imnameren Phom while vote of thanks was proposed by the Chairman, Sakshi Village Council.

            At Pongo PHC, Pangnyu said that the seeds of development sown today will benefit the people for the generations to come and called upon the officials of H&FW to do the follow-up actions and fulfill the needs of the health centers. He also informed that in commemoration of India’s 75th Years of Independence, both the Central and State Government is committed to bring health care facilities to the people at their doorstep. He appealed to the public to extend their full cooperation and support to the health care workers and resolve any issues amicably.    

            DTO Longleng, Dr. Temsusashi chaired the programme at while Deputy CMO, Longleng, Dr. Philip Kent, pronounced the welcome address and briefed on the health unit under the PHC. Public Leader. Vote of thanks was delivered by Chairman, Pongo Village Council.

            At Namchan, the Minister stated that development of health care facilities was one of the priority commitments of the Government. He also informed that there are many non-functional health centers in the State and that the Department is trying to revamp it and make them functional. He was optimistic that the upgraded PHCs under Longleng would benefit the neighboring villages of Tuensang and Mon district.

            Dr. S. Marina Yaden DVBO Longleng chaired the programme while vote of thanks was given by Community Health Officer, Namching Lily Mozhui. President PPC & Public Leader, Bukshe also spoke on the occasion.

            DC Longleng, M. Shayung Phom in his speech congratulated the Department of H&FW for upgrading more health centres in the district. He encouraged the people that landowners should not create hindrance to development but to take ownership of the health centers and cater best health care facilities to the people.
