The newest district of Nagaland, Shamator held its first District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting at DC's conference hall Shamator under the Chairmanship of Advisor IPR and V.G Government of Nagaland, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung.

DC Shamator, Thsuvisie Phoji gave a warm welcome to the members present, followed by the introduction of members. The Chairman also highlighted the Shamator Town history and thanked all the officers for their services in the District and expressed the need to work together more.

The house also unanimously approved the creation of 23 departments and the up-gradation of 12 departments. The house approved Longthu and Moyit village primary School in Chessore block and Primary school at Khonangpong village under Shamator, the house also approved the Baptist School Sotokur Village and Upgradation of Class-IX-X of Temjin Memorial School at Kuthur Village.
