The Nagaland State High Power Committee represented by Minister Planning and Co-ordination, Neiba Kronu and Advisor IT, Mmhonlumo Kikon who are also the State Spokespersons for Covid 19 held a meeting with the Kohima District Task Force on Covid-19 on 4th June 2020 at DPDB Conference Hall Kohima to discuss and assess the situation regarding the management of the returnees from different parts of the Country. The meeting was also attended by Legislators in charge of Kohima District, Minister Housing and Mechanical, Tongpang Ozukum and Advisor Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, MLA Khriehu Liezietsu and Principal Secretary Home, Abhijit Sinha.
A number of important issues related to the logistics and management of the returnees who are being quarantined in different quarantine facilities set up in Kohima District were discussed in detail. The main objective of the meeting was to assess the situation and to get to know the difficulties and shortcomings faced by those working on the ground and to collectively come up with an effective solution so as to ensure that the whole system works smoothly and more effectively. The members of the Kohima District Task Force Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS, gave a detailed report of the working of the District Task Force and also expressed the difficulties which is hampering the smooth functioning of the District Task Force.
