Noklak District Task Force on Covid-19 held a meeting on 11th September 2020 at Deputy Commissioner Office, Noklak which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS.

The house discussed on the implementation of the revised guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) of Covid-19 pandemic and affirmed that all guidelines shall be followed in toto in the District.

Strict implementation of wearing mask in the town area, in particular, was discussed and to this end, the house agreed to rigorously impose fine on the defaulters. The house entrusted Assistant Public Relations Officer, Noklak to make public announcement for public awareness.

Superintendent of Police of Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra, IPS raised concern on the disposal of used face mask and other protective kit materials. In this connection Noklak Town Council has been entrusted to bring out a relevant order for containing such menace. 

Various other issues like Covid-19 Check Gate, Control room, loading and unloading of essential commodities and issues relating to the SOPs to be followed and follow up activities to be taken up were also discussed.

Meanwhile, separate meeting on developmental activities for the newly created Noklak District were also held on 11th September 2020 at DC Office chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS.

The house also discussed on Career Guidance, Skill Development, Agricultural Sector, Tourism and handicraft apart from others areas which are necessary for the district people. DC stated that, all the developmental activities and functioning will be tied up with separate agencies in order to have proper dissemination of information to the beneficiaries and to encourage local entrepreneurs.

The meeting was attended by SP, Assam Rifles, NAP, VGs, Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoilkam, Khiamniungan Students Union, NGOs, Youth volunteers and Administrative Officers.
