Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 Vaccination held a meeting at the DC’s Conference Hall on 4th March, 2021. Kumar Ramnikant IAS Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DTF chaired the meeting.

            The meeting discussed on the updates on first phase vaccination for health care workers, second phase vaccination for front line workers and third phase for 60+ senior citizens and 45 to 59 of age comorbidity citizens. 

            DIO Tuensang, Thungchabeni disseminated on the overall scenario of the vaccinations processes and the challenges on making it a successful completion of the vaccination process and also highlighted on the introduction of COVID 2.0 App. She also appealed to all the beneficiaries who have taken the first dose of Covaccine to compulsorily take the second dose.  RRT WHO, Dr. Christina Nzani Humstoe updated on her visits to vaccination sites and sessions. 

            The DC stressed on the importance of awareness campaign for the vaccination and the proactive role of churches, youths and NGOs. He also called for translations of awareness messages to local dialects and requested the church in dissemination of messages.
