The total lockdown has been lifted in Aboi sub-division on 18th August 2020. Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that the following guidelines will be enforced in the Aboi sub-division till further orders.
Personal Behavior guidelines:
Everyone should treat himself/herself as an asymptomatic carrier of covid-19 and should take necessary safety precaution to break the chain of transmission. Stigmatization of returnees released from the quarantine centres has strictly prohibited. Wearing of face mask has compulsory in public places, work place and during transport. Afine of Rs.100 will be imposed for violation. Everyone must maintained a maximum distance of 6 (six) feet in public places, work place and spitting on public places has strictly prohibited. Consumption of paan, gutka, tobacco products has strictly prohibited and person above 65 years of age, pregnant women and children below the age of 10years were advised to stay at home except for medical purposes. Large public gathering for social, religious, cultural and academic purposed will continued to remain prohibited. Not more than 20 people will be permitted incase of funerals. The concerned ward/village task force to strictly enforce the provision.
The following categories of commercial establishments will remain closed :
Hair cutting saloons, Hotels and dine-in restaurants but home delivery will be permitted. Vehicles plying from Assam carrying essential commodities for Aboi sub-division will be allowed on all days except Saturday & Sunday. Intra-District movement of people and private vehicles will be prohibited except for medical emergency, official duty or covid-19 related duty. The total lockdown will continued to remain enforce in the containment zones unless notified otherwise.All activities within a containment zone will be strictly monitored by the ward,block level or village task force for delivery of essential goods and services.Any person found violating these measures will be liable to be prosecuted against as per the provisions of section 51 to 60 of the disaster management act 2005,besides legal action under section 188 of the Indian penal code and other legal provisions as applicable.
