Advisor Power, Tovihoto Ayemi inaugurated the upgraded 33/11 KV, 5 MVA to 10 MVA Sub- Station at CISHR, Dimapur Saturday, 6th November 2021.
Terming the inauguration of the sub-station at CISHR as a big achievement for the department, the hospital and the surrounding areas, Ayemi re-iterated the importance of stable power supply as pivotal for any developmental activities, institution and town to progress. Lauding CISHR for being one of the premier health institute at Dimapur, equipped with latest technologies, Tovihoto observed that sub stations were required for proper power supply with the addition of 200 more beds at CISHR.
Talking about the prepaid metering, Ayemi reminded that by December 2023, it has to be mandatorily installed in every consumer's house. He went on to say that prepaid metering system would be to the advantage of the consumers as one has to pay for only what they are consuming, buy power as per budget, time saving and no erroneous bills. He urged the public to be mentally prepared for installing the prepaid metering system in their houses. He also informed that the Power Department would have a social media platform for addressing the grievances and updating the general public.
Chief Engineer, (D&R) Er. Moa Aier asserted stable power supply as very critical in the Medical and Education sectors, besides Industries and Commerce. He emphasized on the need for more power at CISHR and surrounding areas and informed that more space has been earmarked for power infrastructure for future plans. "Unless we cooperate, just one hand alone cannot work, so let us co-operate with one another," he appealed.
MS, Referral Hospital, Dr Clement Momin, acknowledged and lauded the power department stating that the upgradation was done at the right time while CISHR is giving the best treatment facilities to the patients by adapting to the advancement in health care technologies. He said that the power up gradation would provide smooth power supply benefitting CISHR, the community and the students.
Chief Engineer (T&G) Er. Penrithung Yanthan asserted that the department was trying its best to bring changes and improvement to give the best facilities to the people. Towards this, he called upon the people to pay for what they have consumed and sought their support in the fight against power theft.
Presenting the technical report, Er. Tiameren Walling informed that the project which started during 2018 by Power Grid Corporation was completed at the cost of Rs. 1.98 crore. He informed that the project was an ambitious project undertaken by Ministry of Power and Government of Nagaland with funding from World Bank.
Associate Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church Diphupar, Jacob Achumi invoked God's blessings while Executive Engineer, Dimapur Electrical Division, Er, Y.Akito Sema proposed the vote of thanks. SE ( E) Dimapur Electrical Circle, Er Nitovi Wotsa chaired the programme.
