The International Women’s Day was observed in Tuensang under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao organised by Sakhi-One Stop Centre, Tuensang in collaboration with Mother’s Welfare Society, Tuensang on 8th March at Town Hall, Tuensang.

            DC Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS highlighted the importance of the day and said that, it is a day celebrating social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.          Two sessions on “Personal Hygiene” and “Women’s Rights, Child Abuse” were conducted by Dr. Sungmo, DTO Tuensang and Antimangyang, Advocate DLSA respectively. 

            Executive Chairman, Mother’s Welfare Society, Tuensang Ayimla Sangtam, shared their success stories and their action plan. 

            The programme was chaired by Centre Administrator, Sakhi-One Stop Centre, Tuensang Chulongla meanwhile, Yongkhong Kelep performed a special song.
