Tuensang District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall on 7th of August 2021 which was chaired by DC and vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant.

The house discussed on the work distribution for the upcoming Independence Day celebration. The agenda on NST bus service from Tuensang to Noksen was discussed and the concern department was asked to submit the details in the next meeting.

Associate Director ECS, Chongshen Soted updated on the first phase intensive COVID-19 vaccination drive and applauded the contribution of the HODs of the district.  He also announced the 2nd and 3rd vaccination drive schedule for the district. He informed thatthe second vaccination drive it will be from 22nd to 29th August 2021 while the 3rd phase will from 19th to 26th of September 2021 and added thatthe phases will focus on the villages where vaccination is comparatively low. 

As per the directive of the Home Department to commemorate the celebration of 75th year of Indian Independence the following event/ programmes will be observed in the district: On 9th of August National Flag Rally and cleaning tower clock will be done by NYKS and Demonstration on Rural Technology by GM DIC; essay writing competition & innovative practices of competition for classes 1 to 7 on 10th of August by DEO;  baking classes by DLCW-MSK on 11th of August; national flag rally and ADC office cleaning at Shamator on 12th of August by NYKS;bike rally and basketball exhibition match on 13th of August by DYRO DSO; 14th of August Mini marathon at Tuensang Town by DEF and visit to Bethel Children Home for awareness on child Rights by SAKHI-One Stop Centre and Plantation Drive and Cleanliness Drive in Various RD Blocks from 9th to 14th of August 2021.
