The Tuensang District and Development Board held a meeting on 8th July 2022 at DP&DB Hall Tuensang. The meeting was chaired by ADC Tuensang, Thungchanbemo Tungoe.
The PHED Executive Engineer updated on the recent irregular supply of water that was caused by damage of two out of four water supply sources by a landslide and the pipes being washed away by the monsoon. He assured the house that the restoration works were being carried out and normal supplies will resume within a week.
The Executive Engineer of National Highways also updated on the ongoing work between Mokokchung and Tuensang which was about to be completed but needed a time extension till the dry season.
The ADC Longkhim asked the heads of offices to deploy and monitor all the designated employees at the Sub Division. He also inquired about the issue of SDEO (education) functioning without staff.
CWS the Chang Wedoshi Thangjam also came up with a few inquiries regarding the ongoing work between National Highway 130 to 140 KMs, update on Tourist Lodge at Yungphang Village and Tourist Road construction between Khangshou Khel to Yungphang village, and also the issue concerning construction of Law and Justice office building at Tuensang.
The Chief Medical Officer Tuensang gave a detailed report of its office setup, functions, schemes, challenges, and achievements to the house while MS District hospital shared the same details on PPT. The next meeting PowerPoint presentation will be taken up by DFO (Fisheries) and CWS Chang Wedoshi Thangjam.
In the review, the previously passed minute was reiterated to check on the absenteeism of the HOOs in the DP&DB meeting.
