Tamlu Village embraced the spirit of World Environment Day on 5th June 2023, marking the occasion with a sense of enthusiasm and unity. Puhan Khiamniungan, EAC Tamlu HQ graced the event as the guest speaker, captivating the audience with his insightful address.

The event was meticulously organized by AilingKon Aeiha Tamlu in collaboration with DFO Longleng and the District Administration of Tamlu HQ. Commencing the day's festivities, a vibrant Walkathon embarked from Tamlu Village, culminating at Deluxe Point in Tamlu Town. After this participants joyfully planted a variety of saplings, symbolizing their commitment to environmental conservation.

During the event, Puhan expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ailing Kon Aeiha (AKA) for their commendable initiative in conducting the plantation drive and enlightening seminars. The two-day seminar was held in conjunction with World Environment Day. On the first day, "Healthy Living & Social Transformation" took center stage, with distinguished speakers sharing their expertise.

K. Hamtok Phom, Superintendent of Jails Kohima, presented a thought-provoking discourse on "Re-Look at Village Administration." Dr. C. Manpa Phom, MD, DNB, Cardiology Resident at Medanta the Medicity, Gurugram, shed light on "Understanding High Blood Pressure". Dr. Hentok Phom, Joint Director of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, emphasized the impact of "Lifestyle Diseases," while Mrs. Hongla Phom, Program Executive at Directorate General Akashwani, New Delhi, encouraged innovation with her talk on "Let's Innovate & Transform."

On the second day, the spotlight shifted to the theme "Go Green, Grow Organic," featuring Er. Richard Belho, an esteemed Bamboo Architect from Zynoriques Kohima. Belho shared valuable insights on "Transformation Towards a Greener, Organic, and Self-Reliant Village," inspiring the audience to embrace sustainable practices.

World Environment Day left an indelible impression on Tamlu Village, igniting a collective desire for positive change. The celebration served as a reminder of the significance of environmental preservation, urging all to contribute to a greener future.
