Longkhim Range under Tuensang Forest Division celebrated World Environment Day by distributing saplings in the presence of MLA, 52 AC Longkhim-Chare, Muthingnyuba Sangtam, and Heads of Offices under the Longkhim sub-division.

The programme started with the keynote address by L. Tsingthrise Sangtam, ACF i/c Longkhim Range. In his address, he emphasized the importance of celebrating World Environment Day and stressed the need to create harmony and a peaceful co-existence with nature.

Muthingnyuba Sangtam highlighted the importance of a balanced environment where the future depends upon it. He urged all the officials to take part actively in celebrating World Environment Day and take leadership roles in shaping the environment.

The program ended with the distribution of tree saplings to all the Heads of Offices for planting near their establishments.
