In commemoration of World Environment Day, a mega tree plantation drive was held all over the Phek district on 4th June 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu said that the economy of the society can also be uplifted through the planting of fruit trees and called upon the people to nurture and look after them responsibly. He added that though it may not be easy, they will enjoy the fruits shortly. The Minister stated the District is blessed with fertile soil and urged the people to protect it.
