A one-day workshop on Child Safety and Security for PM SHRI Schools in Kiphire District was conducted at DPDB Hall, Kiphire, on 21st August 2026.

            The workshop emphasised on emergency evacuation procedures, basic first aid, fire safety, assembly and evacuation protocols, and the roles and responsibilities of teachers, and schools staff during disasters. It also stressed on Child Safety and protection, psychological first aid, stress and trauma management, and appropriate psychological support for children in the aftermath of disasters and other emergencies was conducted during the session.

            The programme was chaired by Kum. Berela. T, District Project Associate, DDMA Kiphire, while the welcome address was delivered by Takatemjen Pongen, NCS EAC, Kiphire. Brief highlight on child safety and security for PM SHRI Schools was highlighted by T. Lichumse Sangtam Asst. District Coordinator, DMA Samagra Shiksha, Kiphire. Narola Longkumer, District Education Officer (DEO) also attend the program.

            The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Zavito Ltu, EAC Kiphire.
