Yongnyah Union Longleng celebrated its first edition of Phom Monyiü at Longleng District HQ on Friday, the 1st April 2022 at Public Ground Longleng. Monyiü is the main festival of Phom Naga celebrated throughout the 1st week of April every year. All Union members, both young and old, joyfully joined the cultural festivities that included folk dances, singing folk tunes, folklore reflections, log drum beatings and varieties of traditional cuisines. Trongdiba Tongpi, SDO(C) Longleng and incharge Yongnyah EAC HQ and H. Phongshing Phom, Chairman, Yongnyah Village Council graced the occasion as special Monyiü Guests. The day-long event ended in all gaiety with the gathering enjoying the Monyiü Feast, traditionally called Monyiü Nükham.
