A one-day Yuva Ustav/Youth Festival with the theme "Goal of Developed India" was held on 18th March 2023 at Kohima College, Kohima. The festival was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Kohima under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India in collaboration with Kohima College, Kohima, District Administration and District Culture Office Kohima, Department of Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland.

Special Guest of the inaugural program, Addl. Secretary, Youth Resources & Sports, Anthony Ngullie, in his speech said that Yuva Ustav is being held as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to upgrade the skills in all the fields for the upliftment of the youths of the nation. Anthony also dwelled on Panch Pran (5 goals) proposed by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and encouraged the students and youths of the state to be self-discipline, sincere, honest, obey the rule of law, support each other and be patriotic to be a good citizen of the country.

District Program Officer, District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DCPCU), Kohima NSACS, Sentimongla Tzüdir delivered a short speech on infection of HIV/AIDS. She also highlighted the DOs and DON'Ts and cautioned the students to be responsible and careful and follow the guidelines of ABC of NSACS.

The events of the festival included competition of painting, poetry, photography, and declamation followed by cultural presentation.

Earlier, the welcome address was given by General Secretary KCSC, Hyulo Tsela, introduction of Yuva Ustav was highlighted by Account & Program Asst. NYKS, Ruokuovikho Chale. Prizeswere given to the winners by Vice Principal, Kohima College, Kohima, Keneilesa Neikha.
